Focused Academic Excellence

To deliver structured, high-quality education in paediatric musculoskeletal trauma, empowering clinicians with the latest knowledge and evidence-based practices.

Preventing Complications

To minimise complications by fostering a deeper understanding of injury patterns, timely diagnosis, and appropriate management in the growing child.

Bridging the Knowledge Gap

To integrate and adapt adult orthopaedic trauma principles into paediatric-specific care, ensuring safe and effective treatment tailored to children.

Shaping Future Leaders

To mentor, inspire, and train the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons, building a strong foundation for excellence in paediatric trauma care.

Welcome to POTS

Paediatric Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium (POTS)

Musculoskeletal trauma constitutes a significant proportion of injuries in the paediatric population. Paradoxically, many of these injuries are managed by orthopaedic surgeons whose primary focus is adult trauma care. While principles may overlap, paediatric musculoskeletal trauma presents unique anatomical, physiological, and biological considerations. A lack of focused understanding can lead to avoidable complications and long-term consequences for growing children.

Recognising this important gap in structured education, we envisioned an academic platform dedicated exclusively to Paediatric Orthopaedic Trauma. Read More
